Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca. The 2025 Mole de Caderas Festival, one of the most representative gastronomic events of the Oaxacan Mixteca region, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and flavor.
The Honorable City Council of Huajuapan de León, with the support of the Oaxaca State Tourism Secretariat, headed by Salomón Jara Cruz, launched this grand celebration that brings together tradition, culture, and flavor in one place.
Mayor Luis de León Martínez Sánchez, accompanied by State Tourism Secretary Saymi Pineda Velasco, led the opening ceremony, highlighting the boost this traditional dish has received thanks to the support of the state government. During his address, he emphasized that the goal is to obtain the designation of origin for mole de caderas, the culinary pride of Huajuapan.
